Had a laptop with a Linksys Wireless G Notebook Adapter 2.4 GHz 802.11g (I don't know what the 2.4 GHz 802.11g stands for, just letting you know what it said on the card). Some of the pins inside the Notebook Adaper card slot are screwed up, so I am just going to buy a desktop adapter piece that fits into the USB port.
My question is: Should I upgrade to the wireless-N that Linksys has now, or just guy another (cheaper) wireless-G adapter? It appears the only difference is that the Wireless-N picks up better signals, but my internet seems to be running at about the same speed. Also the router I am using is a wireless-G router, so is my computer going to be limited to the speed my router pushes out data?
